With May’s finer weather, now is the perfect time to give your lawn Light scarification. Removing the mossy thatch of the previous season should be done in spring, ideally just as the weather is getting clearer and warmer. Your lawn’s growth and recovery rate is heightened towards the end of April/beginning of May. If you miss your chance in April/early May another good opportunity for light scarifying would be early autumn – late August, or early September (depending on rainfall).
