HR Business Partner

Based at our Cookstown depot and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing the HR functions across all locations.

 KDM Hire is one of Northern Ireland’s leading rental companies. We are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to oversee all Human Resources operations and ensure they’re aligned with our business goals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with the board of Directors and with senior managers to express new ideas and suggest solutions, considering budget limitations and our company culture.

Based at our Cookstown depot and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing the HR functions across all locations. Ultimately, they should be able to act as a consultant on human resources management and organisational changes.

The role:

Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance.
Resolve complex employee relations issue and address grievances.
Work closely with management to improve work relationships, build morale, and improve productivity and retention.
Provide HR policy guidance, ensure handbooks and TCoE are current.
Manage all recruitment and training.
Evaluate training programs.
Identify training needs for teams and individuals.
Monitor and report on workforce demographic and succession planning.
Develop talent acquisition strategies to facilitate future needs.
Promote inclusion in the workplace reinforcing our position as an equal opportunities’ employer.
Ensure security of employee data.

Essential Criteria:

CIPD qualified.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner.
Excellent people management skills.
Understanding of Key HR metrics.
Thorough knowledge of Employment Law in both NI and ROI.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Resilient and determined with a “can do” attitude.

Desirable Criteria:

Degree educated in an HRM or business-related discipline.
Previous experience in a similar industry.

Normal hours of work are 9.00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
